Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter and My Space, are fantastic places to generate leads for your MLM or home business opportunity.
They are free and there is a lot of traffic that is generated each day on those sites and they can be a powerful tool for your opportunity.
However most network marketers make fatal mistakes on these sites and end-up failing to generate any leads from social media because they do not know how to do it properly and end up being perceived as nothing more than spammers.
The one thing that has to be realized when using Social Media is that people are very sensitive to someone trying to sell them any MLM opportunity or product.

No one on those sites cares about your business, most of the people there have their own businesses and are trying to promote those. You have to remember that people join you not the business, the business is just an avenue to make money. Lets face it being up front and promoting your business opportunity doesn’t work on your friends and family why you think it would work on total strangers. If you want to promote your business upfront do it in classifieds where people are actually openly looking for MLM or home business opportunities. That is expected on these sites and that’s what people are looking for, but not on Twitter or Facebook. If you do promote your business openly on these sites using DM’s or privet messages or tweets you will be seen as a spammer and lose your following of friends, that is a price you don’t want to pay because these are powerful lead generation tools if you do it right.
So remember become a person of value and brand yourself not your MLM home business, drive traffic form Twitter and Facebook to your blogs or YouTube channels that contain useful information and where people can get access to more information about you and that is where you want to have links to your capture pages. This way you are less threatening, you will build trust and be branded as an expert and leader.
That is when you will get more and more leads for your business and you will have prospects calling you with credit card in hand wanting to follow you, a leader, and join your business opportunity.
