Fun In Miami- Part 1

Last week was a week of R&R for me and my family.  Tai and I treated my mom, dad and sister with a trip to Miami.

Here we are waiting for our plane and having some breakfast at the Detroit Airport.

We decided to spend most of our time on the Miami beaches so we decided to stay in a beachfront hotel on Miami Beach.  It was great waking up to a view of palm tries beach and blue ocean.

This is the view from our hotel room balcony.

Here’s a shot of the beach up close from the boardwalk.

I took this picture right after we got to the hotel, that’s why I’m in jeans, no sunscreen on.  The sun was so strong I burned my shoulders pretty quickly.

That same day me, Tai and my dad decided to go visit the South Beach area, see the nightlife and get some food.  Mom and sis were so tired from traveling they were asleep by 6pm.

We were lucky because it was a Sunday and South Beach was crazy busy.  I even ended with a python around my neck and a parrot on my hand…

I thought the python was cool, but I was really nervous about having that giant bird on my head…

What if it took a dump on my head?…

Luckily that did not happen :)

After seeing the sites and sounds of South Beach we had some food and drinks…

Actually it was one drink, a giant Mojito.

After dinner we walked around some more.  Stumbled upon some amazing stores and art galleries.  However we were tired and went to bed early so that we could get rested for another exciting day in Miami.

I’ll tell you more of our adventures in Miami in my second installment of “Fun In Miami.”

Till then :)

Fun In Miami- Part 1

Its Our 3 Year Anniversary

I would like to share this day with you.  Its Tai’s and mine 3rd wedding anniversary.  3 Years from this day we took the plunge and got married in a quick hurry that stunned even out closest friends.

We gave our friends and family about 3 weeks notice and thanks to our parents, my sister and Tai’s brother we had a full blown wedding in just 3 years.

We stunned everyone with a quick wedding that made everyone sure that I was expecting.  Well jokes on everyone who thought that because its been 3 years and all we got was two dogs :)

It was a small party of 65 people, which included close friends and close family making it more a family reunion and get together with old friends then a formal party.  Which is exactly how we like it.  To this day all our friends and family see our wedding as the best they ever been to because of the closeness.

Here is a picture of our cake.  How do you like out wedding cake topper?  Its two lambs.  One lamb is Justyna Lam and the other is Tai Lam ;)

Its been 3 years for us now and we both agree that it was a great idea to get married because we have accomplished so much together and really would not be able to do it separately.

Our plans for our anniversary are simple just to spend time together over a nice dinner and talk about our plans and what we want to accomplish in the next few years together.

I just wanted to share with you this little day that occurred 3 years ago.  We’re still going strong, despite the fact that sometimes we want to strangle each other but really we couldn’t live without each other.

I wish you all the best in your relationships and in your businesses in the new year.

Justyna Lam.

“Another fresh new year is here . . .

Another year to live!

To banish worry, doubt, and fear,

To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me

To live each day with zest . . .

To daily grow and try to be

My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity

Once more to right some wrongs,

To pray for peace, to plant a tree,

And sing more joyful songs!”

Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas

You Never Know…

Today I went to look at granite with my husband. We just build our house recently but the kitchen desperately is screaming for granite counters to give it that final WOW factor.

So we went to a granite distributor and we were greeted by a really nice lady, who definitely was not a sales person but she was really pleasant, we talked a little and chose our granite.

Just as we were about to leave, she asked “Do you like classical music.”

To which I answered “Why Yes I do, but it depends what it is.”

She then directed me to this YouTube video.

The lady, her name is Neda Gavric, sings a song that I absolutely love “Spente Le Stelle” and I wanted to share something beautiful with you.

I also want to share a lesson learned to let you know to always be open to connecting with people because you never know who you are going to meet.
