FTC regulation on internet home business

Do you understand the impact of FTC on internet home businesses?

Well if you didn’t before, you will now. The FTC new regulations state that you must be honest about your marketing of your home business, about the income claims and testimonials. These regulations are causing some stress, as the FTC is saying who must disclose and when, they aren’t specifically pointing out what you should be saying.

There isn’t a black and white answer for this type of situation, but to help with some of that, some are pointing out some solutions that should fit within FTC regulations.

For example, the major impact of FTC on internet home businesses are the false claims often produced by people promising you would make so much money with a particular home business or affiliate program.  Claims as to how much thousands of dollars a person would earn must be supported.

Let me just say that you should never be making of  claims thousands over night in a business as there is a large possibility that a business could make nothing at all.  There are no guaranties in business!

Why are these regulations in place?

This major impact of FTC on internet home businesses and the regulations put forth are to ensure that people are honest with what they are promoting.  Some readers may feel your article or information may be biased or even wrong if they feel you are simply writing to promote a special product or service.

By not making claims that someone could make thousands overnight and be honest that results are not typical, people may feel they are better educated about what they are getting into.   You can prevent fines and any other issues by simply marketing yourself ethically.

I always like say to anyone that is looking at joining my opportunity that “yes, you could make lots of money, then again you  might not make anything at all, in fact you could even loose money.  It is all dependent on what you do.”

Honesty makes people actually appreciate you, this builds trust and it actually filters out the get rich quick people form the diamonds that you want to include in your enterprise.

Give me your feelings and oppinions on these FTC regulations in the comments, speak your mind!
