The Secret Behind Continued Success In Network Marketing Revealed

Does Prospecting Scare You?

Old phone on the destroyed wall

If you have an Internet home business either an MLM or a GPT type of business you need to recruit new team member to you enterprise if you want to create a serious income.

This actually requires you to get on the phone to talk and connect with people.  This is a frightening thought for most marketers.

When I first started I was scared to death to call someone.  I would put it off because I feared that they might yell at me or worse REJECT me!

When I did make an actual call I would be a bumbling idiot on the phone and a few times I even sat there listening to people pitching me their businesses.  Not to mention a lot of people simply blew me off.

I was making the same mistakes as most people… I was taking all this personally when in reality it’s not.

I was lucky enough to come across Black Belt Recruiting about 6 months to my being in an online business.  This Course changed the way I looked at prospecting.  I learned that it’s not personal, its business.

Black Belt Recruiting also helped me realize that I’m not asking just anyone to join my business, but that I’m actually interviewing for business partners.  It not about me getting someone to join my opportunity it’s about finding someone I actually want to invest my time in.  It’s about whether YOU want to work with that person or not.

Prospecting is about knowing that you have something fantastic to offer to the right person.  It’s about having the posture and about having a mindset of a leader who has something precious and valuable to offer to the right person.

Don’t get attached to your prospects, the right people will see your value and the wrong once will not.   To get emotionally attached to your prospects is self destructive.  Your goal is to sift through coal to find the diamonds.

I’m not a master at prospecting, I still sometimes fumble and make mistakes but thanks to Black Belt Recruiting I’m no longer a bumbling idiot with my prospects.

FTC Regulations for Internet Home Businesses

FTC regulation on internet home business

Do you understand the impact of FTC on internet home businesses?

Well if you didn’t before, you will now. The FTC new regulations state that you must be honest about your marketing of your home business, about the income claims and testimonials. These regulations are causing some stress, as the FTC is saying who must disclose and when, they aren’t specifically pointing out what you should be saying.

There isn’t a black and white answer for this type of situation, but to help with some of that, some are pointing out some solutions that should fit within FTC regulations.

For example, the major impact of FTC on internet home businesses are the false claims often produced by people promising you would make so much money with a particular home business or affiliate program.  Claims as to how much thousands of dollars a person would earn must be supported.

Let me just say that you should never be making of  claims thousands over night in a business as there is a large possibility that a business could make nothing at all.  There are no guaranties in business!

Why are these regulations in place?

This major impact of FTC on internet home businesses and the regulations put forth are to ensure that people are honest with what they are promoting.  Some readers may feel your article or information may be biased or even wrong if they feel you are simply writing to promote a special product or service.

By not making claims that someone could make thousands overnight and be honest that results are not typical, people may feel they are better educated about what they are getting into.   You can prevent fines and any other issues by simply marketing yourself ethically.

I always like say to anyone that is looking at joining my opportunity that “yes, you could make lots of money, then again you  might not make anything at all, in fact you could even loose money.  It is all dependent on what you do.”

Honesty makes people actually appreciate you, this builds trust and it actually filters out the get rich quick people form the diamonds that you want to include in your enterprise.

Give me your feelings and oppinions on these FTC regulations in the comments, speak your mind!

The 3 Don’ts in Social Media Marketing

It is hard to promote an MLM business.

Many are looking to go through the Internet to make their connections. This is a wise choice but there are a few things to avoid when trying social media marketing.

  1. You never want to announce your business right off. It is important to gain friendship and respect. If you go straight to the Business Opportunity you may be blacklisted on your Facebook, or Twitter site. Always send interested people to your blog or Youtube site first.
  2. Don’t immerse them straight in the company you are representing. They want to know what you are bout first, not what your company is.
  3. If someone shows interest in your business, then don’t discuss it in the open forum, talk about it through messages that others will not see.

Avoid these 3 pitfalls and you will be able to market effectively on social media.

The 3 Don’ts in Social Media Marketing

Procrastination Revelation

About 2 months ago I went for a trip to Vietnam.  We spent a whole month sight seeing and lazing around on the beach.  It was a great trip but it had one major side effect…

When we got home and it was time again to start marketing and creating content I found myself, dare I say it, procrastinating?

Yes the month since I’ve been back I’ve been doing the one thing that can kill a network marketer in building their enterprise, I started procrastinating.

Instead of popping out content left and right, syndicating my content on to social networks, all I did was listen to courses and reading training material, blogs of other marketers, listening to personal development CD’s and yes, I started spending hours watching the electronic income reducer, the TV.

I kept piling up great marketing ideas and content ideas for SEO on but I just couldn’t get around to doing it.

Then I decided enough was enough!

I had stop this nonsense I needed content and I needed a quick way to get it out on to the internet, without spending a lot of time and money.  So that’s what I did I asked marketers who were my mentors and friends for ways to outsource the tasks of writing content and getting it out to social networks.  I’m sure glad I did.

I was given a great resource for content syndication which allows me to get my stuff out there and bookmarked and voted on sites like Digg, and Delicious by hundreds of different people without really doing anything but setting up the campaigns.

I was also directed to great resources to outsourcing my content creation, Craigslist and Articez.com. I started to use Articlez.com this week and I must say I am more then satisfied with the quality and the turnaround time on the articles, not to mention the price.

I guess something good came out my procrastination.  I found some time to source out tasks that take me the longest to accomplish.

Now I’m working smarter not harder!
