Setting personal goals is crucial for personal and business success.  Any internet business opportunity is a wealth building strategy of about 2 to 5 years depending on the opportunity and your marketing skills. However the first step to being a successful online business owner you have to realize that the motivation for creating a successful business is not about money. You may think that’s strange but if you keep focusing on chasing money you will be stuck on that hamster wheel for the rest of your life. Now if you focus on creating a clear vision or goal of precisely what your business will provide you, you will be driven to success.

Most people beginning a business on the internet want the fallowing common “goals“:

• “I want to achieve financial freedom.”
• “I want to make a million dollars.”
• “I want to quit my job.”
• “I want to me X amount of money per month.”

These are the usual boring and goals that most new entrepreneurs give and even though quitting your job may be a worthy goal it has no real personal meaning because it too general.  Personal goal setting is designing a truly personal vision that is the foundation to creating successful internet business.  This vision will be your bright light showing you the path at times of darkness.  This clear goal should be the first thing you think of in the morning and the last when you go to sleep.  Its what will keep you going when you hit those inevitable bumps in the road and drive you on even if others in your life are questioning what you’re doing.  This will be your guiding light through the journey of your online business.

How do design a vivid personal goal?

Pretend it five years from today  and start writing a clear picture of what you have achieved in those five years.  Be sure to be in the present tense as if you have already achieved it and are just documenting it in your journal.   Then on a piece of cardboard create a collage of cut out picture you find on the Internet, magazines etc. this will help you create a visual picture of the goals you have written out.

Here are some question to ask yourself that will help you create that ultimate personal goal:

1. Where do you live? Be as detailed as you can here, describe the house you live in, the town, the color of the flowers, the foliage.  Describe the sounds you hear and the smells your experience.
2. With who do you spend most of your time? Describe your state of mind and how much time do you have  for you.
3. What hobbies do you spend your time doing or what business? How is that making you happy?
4. If you travel describe where and how often do you travel? Describe details as in the first question.
5. What is your weight? Do you exercise and how often? How is your health?
6. What type of entertainment do you enjoy? What music, books and art do your enjoy?
7. What experiences are you having?
8. Who and how are you helping? Do you give to charity do you volunteer?
9. How much income is coming in from your business and other investments?
10. What net worth have you attained?

Have fun with this exercise and look clearly into yourself to see what you really want out of life.

When you complete this exercise on personal goals setting you will have a clear visual picture of your goal.  No obstacle or disappointment will keep you form creating a successful Internet business.

To get rich quickly is the worst thing you can ever want.  Many people may disagree with me but if you do I want you to look at your present situation and examine you life right now, were has your desire for instant money and instant gratification got you.

Are you stuck in a job you hate?

Do you have more stuff and debt then you have money and assets?

Are you jumping from internet business opportunity to opportunity and continually getting onto to the next big thing?

Do you dread Monday mornings rather then be eager to wake up so you can start another productive day?

Do you play the lottery each week?

Did you come to the internet so that you can get rich quickly without doing or investing any money or time?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you are looking for instant gratification that, my friend, is why success eludes you.  Consider the statistics on people who win the lottery that show that a significant number of winners end up bankrupt within 5 years.

As the saying says “Easy come. Easy go.”

Getting rich quick ideas like the lottery, rob people of a sense of achievement or pride.  You will feel happy for an short while but because its so easily gotten that apparent success has no meaning, no value as it would if you created your own success.

Instant gratification the reason why people stay in jobs they hate and are miserable with their lives. You can often tell who they are by their negative complaining.

If you have no previous experience and come from the corporate world, you will have a lot to learn about the making money on internet, creating a successful business, but most of all you will have to learn a lot about yourself.

There is no get rich quickly on the internet but making money on internet can be faster then in a traditional business.  This means is that it’s about a  2 to 5 year strategy of building a solid foundation and a successful internet business.

From time zero to 2 years you might not make that much money or even spend more then you make on courses and marketing.  However is the time where you learn to market, brand yourself, build relationships by networking.  You are building that foundation needed to create a successful internet business.

If you have been jumping form opportunity to opportunity for many years and haven’t had the success you wanted.  Look in the mirror and ask, “Are you building a business or just looking to get rich quickly?”

If you have been looking to get rich quick here’s something to consider.

#1. Stop chasing the next best thing that seems to come along.  That’s what most likely is keeping you form having success.

#2. Look for something that is proven and works, that way you know you wont “get burned” and with a a little effort from you you’ll create your success.

#3. Get rid of the desire for instant gratification, this is another thing that is keeping you from success and building a successful internet business.

#4. Find a mentor someone you connect with that is doing better then you.  Find out what tools they use and would recommend for you.

#5. Start learning, taking action on what you learn and sharing with others information you have learned.  In time you will start to become the mentor to people who connect with you, you will learn more as you teach and you will start seeing success form gradually.

#6. A solid foundation for your internet business opportunity is the most important thing you will ever create for your business because without it your online business will eventually crumble and turn to dust.

You have to change your mindset that of an entrepreneur.

I was playing with my dogs in my little loft after talking with people on the phone and listening to them how things are just not working for them and tried the 3 foot rule of marketing and they went on twitter and Facebook to market their business but it just didn’t work for them.

After listening to some of these people talking about their lack of leads and showing them a solution to their problem I’m always shocked how reluctant people are to taking responsibility about their results or lack there off. Lets just say that most people are willing to talk complain about how things are not working out rather than taking action and steps that will eventually lead them to success. So I was inspired to make this video in hopes that it will inspire others to take responsibility for their results and take the necessary actions that will lead them EVENTUALLY to success.

There are people that are willing to help there are a lot of marketing systems and marketing courses courses that can help you not only market but to change your mindset so that you can get in your power.

Stop playing the victim, get your power back and be a victor.  Network marketing works if you take the time to learn and implement.

Every day I see people joining in a business opportunity in network marketing with dollar signs in their eyes.  They start out excited believing that in a week they will be making thousands and quitting their jobs without any effort on their part.  When success doesn’t come easy and over night most people quit.   Heck its supposed to be easy, people get rich in this business over night…  right?

Answer to that is NO.
What most people in network marketing don’t realize is that most people who are 6 and 7 figure earners overnight had actually a long road, years for most of them, of setbacks and disappointments before their “overnight success.“  What separates the winners from the quitters are these 8 foundation:

• A Clear purpose: most of the 6 and 7 figure earners have a clear and definite purpose.  This purpose is a strong motivational force that allows them to preserve over the many difficulties on the road to success.

• A strong desire: successful entrepreneurs have intense desire for success and achievement of their purpose.

• Defined plan: most successful entrepreneurs have a plan by which they follow without fail that eventually leads to success when its followed through with definite action.

• Self-belief: Having a belief in your abilities to follow the defined plan further enhances the ability to persevere over setbacks.

• Having Knowledge: successful people know that if they follow through their plans they will eventually  accomplish their goals.  They don’t hope they know, most people hope that their plans will work out, taking away the power form you. Knowing that your plans will work gives you the power to persevere.

• Cooperation with other big thinkers: successful people hang out with other successful people or people with the same desired and determination as them.  This harmonious cooperation with other entrepreneurs will help you persist over difficulties you may encounter.

• Will-power: we hear this one a lot especially when it comes to resisting sinful not so healthy treats.  But will power is a habit of concentrating your thoughts on building plans to attain your purpose.

• Habit of action: In order to persevere against upsets in your business you need to have a strong habit of daily action.  By creating a habit of daily action for example phone prospecting your leads will help you effectively cure your fear of prospecting your leads.  “Practice makes perfect.”

These are foundations that aid the successful people to persevere over setbacks that they encounter on the road to attaining their desires and goals.  Anything worth doing is going to take some perseverance you are going to encounter difficulties.  Whatever failures you may have encountered or will encounter look at them as lessons learned not as failures.

Today I was thinking about my why I went in to free enterprise and became and entrepreneur.

You see many people come on the internet and join an opportunity in hopes of getting rich.  The majority thinks or perhaps they are mislead to believe that they will get rich overnight without doing nothing.  However when things don’t go as planned and they realize that it will take more effort then they thought people usually give up and quit.

Truth be told I thought building my enterprise was going to be easy to, no doubt I was going to be making five figures in two months.  Those are very big ambitions for someone who was never involved in any sort of network marketing and had no idea what Google Adwords was not to mention being a bumbling idiot on the telephone.

I had a rude awakening to reality but I had one thing going for me…

Those were my whys, my purpose, my reasons for wanting to be in free enterprise and network marketing.  That is what created my mindset for success.

Your purpose  had to be big enough to push you onward with your dreams and give you the boost to move onwards and not backwards.  It has to be bigger then monetary gain.

Whatever your purpose is, it has to create a burning passion and desire in you to do whatever you have to do stick it out for as long as you have to stick it out so that you can allow yourself that chance at success.

Close your eves and think of your purpose, of all your reasons why your are in network marketing,  feel all the emotions that your reasons evoke in you and say to yourself:

“I will play this game till my last breath, until I will give it my all, I will do what it takes to build my success and in the end I will be victorious!”
