Today’s consumers have very little tolerance for websites, videos and information peaces that waist their time.     Network marketers are actually in the business of getting attention but a lot of marketers have a difficulty actually keeping that attention.

Getting attention, or traffic, is relatively easy. You can basically grab any once attention outrageous or tabloid-like headline, however it’s quite another story keeping that attention and then nurture it into a long-term relationship.

This ability to grab someones attention and keep it for days months and years is what separates the successful marketers in this industry from everybody else.  Network marketers need to learn how to how to keep their readers attention so that they can develop relationships and trust that could eventually turn in to profit.

Best way to keep your leads or customers attention is to immediately deliver what was promised in your ad, in true and authentic manner.

If you are successful in that you will earn their trust and…

1. They’ll continue to read your e-mails
2. They will pass them along to their friends.

If your try to be sneaky and hide ulterior motives, you will create distrust and never see that person or leads ever again.   What’s worse they will tell their friends that you suck and are a waist of time.

Some examples of misleading headlines Google or YouTube video are:

1.  “I hate company ABCD” – when you click on that video or ad you’re told “Nah, I love company ABCD and that is why

2. “Company ABC is a Scam!”  – When you click on the video or ad your either told that no its not or they try to push another company on you.

Someone looking for information about “ABC” because they were thinking of joining that company might not appreciate those types of headlines.

You could be getting a lot of visits and great click through rates but your conversions suffer.  Another thing that could suffer is your reputation that is something that should be golden to network marketers that want to build their business.

Think carefully before creating an ad or video and remember that you are supposed to be adding value and that the only way to become successful in marketing is if conduct yourself in an honest fashion because a lot of people out there are confused and nervous and they are searching for help and advice so make sure you deliver what you promised.

By the way slanderous headlines about other companies or people only hurt you and make you look untrustworthy and shady, especially if you are trying to recruit for your business.  So don’t do it!

Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter and My Space, are fantastic places to generate leads for your MLM or home business opportunity.

They are free and there is a lot of traffic that is generated each day on those sites and they can be a powerful tool for your opportunity.

However most network marketers make fatal mistakes on these sites and end-up failing to generate any leads from social media because they do not know how to do it properly and end up being perceived as nothing more than spammers.

The one thing that has to be realized when using Social Media is that people are very sensitive to someone trying to sell them any MLM opportunity or product.

Twitter, Facebook and My Space is not a place where you promote your business opportunity it is where you promote yourself first, by branding yourself and building connections with people and never ever pushing your MLM business on any one you connect with unless they ask you about it and even then it should just be mentioned in a causal way just to create more interest and curiosity where they ask for a link to your site and put their name on your list.

You may ask yourself  “How am I supposed to promote my business if I can’t do it on Social Media?” The answer to this is us your blogs where you have lots of useful information that will interest people that click on your website links. Never ever send people directly from Twitter of Facebook to your capture or company page.  Send them to your blogs or YouTube channel.  On those websites you can have links to your business capture pages and other money making opportunities that you may be promoting.

Another thing to remember on Social Media sites, is that its mostly about branding yourself as an expert and a leader.  No one on those sites cares about your business, most of the people there have their own businesses and are trying to promote those.  You have to stand out of the crowd as a person of interest that has something of values to offer not just an MLM distributor that is trying to get his/her hand in their pockets.

You have to remember that people join you not the business, the business is just an avenue to make money.  Lets face it being up front and promoting your business opportunity doesn’t work on your friends and family why you think it would work on total strangers.  People do business with people they trust, that is why you first have to build connections and relationships with people on social medial networks.

If you want to promote your business upfront do it in classifieds where people are actually openly looking for MLM or home business opportunities.  That is expected on these sites and that’s what people are looking for, but not on Twitter or Facebook.  If you do promote your business openly on these sites using  DM’s or privet messages or tweets you will be seen as a spammer and lose your following of friends, that is a price you don’t want to pay because these are powerful lead generation tools if you do it right.

So remember become a person of value and brand yourself not your MLM home business, drive traffic form Twitter and Facebook to your blogs or YouTube channels that contain useful information and where people can get access to more information about you and that is where you want to have links to your capture pages.  This way you are less threatening, you will build trust and be branded as an expert and leader. 

That is when you will get more and more leads for your business and you will have prospects calling you with credit card in hand wanting to follow you, a leader, and join your business opportunity.

Here’s some ideas on how to increase you success rate.  You can actually start your entrepreneurship part time that way  you don’t  the security blanket a job.

Build up your business to a full time income, and to a point at which you actually make more money then at your current job.  This might sound like more work in the beginning but the rewards will be greater than if you worked hard for someone else.

Another way to increase you success rate is to go out and start learning anywhere you can.  You can find information in libraries, the Internet, you can find lots of free material on the Internet as well as some excellent paid resources and courses.

I do have to mention that the paid courses tend to be of better quality as you get what you pay for. Also find a mentor, someone who can show you what to do and  how to do it, someone you can learn form.  I  actually help people to be successful so that they can be profitable.  I measure my success through the success of the people I help.

Take control back in to your hands and start your own home business. The only thing that’s stopping you from being successful and realizing your full potential is you.  Yes you might hit a few road blocks in the beginning and you might not make those millions that first day, but if you persevere, and look for ways to overcome and surpass those obstacles, you will eventually hit the level of success in your business you desire.

Our society celebrates hard work and education.  Most of us have been taught in schools and by our family that we should study hard so that we can get a “good” job.  We had it drilled into our heads that having a JOB   is the only way to gain financial security that the only.

Most of us have been taught this by our parents and teachers that the only way you can make a living is by getting a job, work for someone else and that’s the only way to be secure.

The truth is, however, that  job security doesn’t exist.  Companies can go bankrupt or get sold and re structured, changing technologies make jobs obsolete.  You can lose your job because of company and office politics, be driven out or terminated by a your boss.

Corporate executives might decide to cut whole divisions and different types of jobs without consideration to job quality or productivity.

Having a job is actually very risky.  If you have a nice job you are most likely living form paycheck to paycheck.  When you get let go for any reason, even for a few weeks this puts you, your family and your home at a financial risk.

With entrepreneurship  your income comes from multiple sources, not just one. If you have ten customers and you lose one of those customers, that’s only 10% of your income and you still have 90% of your income and you can always gain more customers.  You are less subject to economic downturns if your business is structured right.

Did you know that demand in Internet marketing business has actually actually increased because of what’s going on in today’s economy?

There are more and more people looking for ways to make more money on the Internet because the don’t feel secure in their jobs.
